Ryan’s Bridge offers a welcoming environment for young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities to connect, grow, and engage with
their community.

What is Ryan's Bridge?

Ryan’s Bridge is a non-profit serving young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. We provide a caring environment for personal growth, vocational experiences, community connections and relationships. Ryan’s Bridge offers an opportunity for individuals to achieve their highest level of independence through meaningful participation in life.

Our group is facilitated by a certified special education teacher with ten years of experience. The balance of our staff consists of experienced and dedicated volunteers.

EDUCATIONAL

Activities are centered around current events, science, geography, cooking, math, reading and life skills. We also incorporate health and wellness activities.

VOCATIONAL

Our participants work in the Davidson Ada Jenkins Center food pantry. We restock and sort food items, bag produce from the Davidson Community garden, and remove expired foods. We work alongside other volunteers from the community. We also do bag production for a local company, HAERFEST Coffee.

SOCIAL

We enjoy social activities in the community such as bowling, miniature golf, and movies.
